90 days!!! I know in the beginning we said that we were going to focus on the fact that in the grand scheme of things, 3 months is a very short time. I know that someday we will look back and it will seem so far away but for now, this has been the longest 90 days of our lives. It's almost been the most fulfilling, amazing, spiritual, miraculous journey we have ever been on. Ninety days ago, our daughter weighed 1lbs 10 oz. Today she weighs 5lbs 15.5 oz and within the last day she has had almost no dependence on oxygen support. How amazing is that?
She's doing great with her feedings too. They have been giving her the morning feeds (3 a.m. and 6 a.m.) through tube but this morning she woke up smacking her lips and sucking on air. Of course they gave her a bottle and she gulped that thing down in record time. I am thrilled!
God is good!
