Day 89

No news is great news... :)

Nothing much new to report here. Sydney is doing great and her oxygen is turned waaay down now. She's basically breathing on her own and we're just waiting on the doctors to give the word to remove her from the cannula. They're not quite ready to do that yet since she still has moments where she breathes really fast. It's still a side effect of her having RSV and recovering from it. She's doing well with learning to suck swallow and breathe and is still taking 6 bottles per day for now. Tomorrow, a lactation consultant and I will work with her all day too.

We also had CPR class last night since we didn't attend the other one because that she was night she was intubated again. Here's the biggest thing I learned: adult CPR and baby CPR are two very different things. Oh, don't do the Heimlich on a baby either. See how much I know? I think they should let us take her home now.

Yes, child cpr is way different. You can solve most kid's problems with oxygen and more basic treatments.. this should make you feel more comfortable! Once you take a cpr class, you know you'll never need it.
