I'm very happy to report that Sydney is at her lowest oxygen setting...evah! She's at about 18ccs of flow now and when she hits 12.5 ccs and tolerates it well, she will be off oxygen. Please pray that she handles the transition well. Another great thing is she's doing a great job keeping her saturation up when she's eating. Her numbers are consistently high and this was something she struggled with in the beginning. She's also eating much faster and no longer stop repeatedly to catch her breath or looks like she's choking. We're so, so happy to see her progress.
Her weight is 5lbs 10oz today () and it shows! Last night, she was wearing a hospital gown because none of the preemie clothes that were left there for her fit anymore. She had 12 preemie outfits and now, only one of them barely fit. She's at this funny stage where preemie clothes are too tight and newborn clothes are a bit big. Still, we're not complaining at all!!!
Her latest thing is holding her head up. It was all she wanted to do last night. She was holding her head up and looking around like it was no problem at all. She must have missed the memo that she's not even 40 weeks yet.
Holding on for dear life
