A lot can happen in 5 days!

Shawty is doing 100 times better this time around, than she did 5 days ago when they extubated her for the first time. When we got there yesterday, she was sleeping and looked the most rested we have seen her in about a week. No oxygen saturation problems at all and she was breathing perfectly fine. She was at 34% on the CPAP last night and was at 29% when we called this morning. Yay!

She handled the increased feedings well and doesn't show any sign of intolerance at all. Hopefully she can gain some weight now that she is past her infection and off the diuretics. I'm going to have to give her some cheesecake or something.

She starts kindergarten next week.

I am really pleased with li'l Ms. Sydney's progress. Maybe you should slip her a little piece of Jamaican fruit cake instead of cheesecake!
