Sydney's doctors and nurses have started weaning her off the vent and she has been tolerating it very well. When we were there last night, she was at 36% and now she's at 25%, working toward 20%. She hasn't been at 25% since she had the most recent infection, so this is really great news!!
They haven't adjusted her feedings because their policy is to work on one thing at a time and not cause the babies undue stress. She's doing well with her food and still peeing and pooping like a champ. All her other vital signs look good and all her tests have been great.
She's having a wonderful day.

Yay Sydney!!
36 to 25 in a day is wonderful! She'll be on room air before you know it.
Will they move her to CPAP or cannula next?
Mandy,
She was on the CPAP for the brief time that she was off the vent, so I suspect they will go back to that at first. I'm not totally sure though.
